6 ways to get that perfect glow
1. SLEEP
You actually need beauty sleep. Sleep deprivation lowers circulation in your skin which can cause you to appear washed out or pale. We've already posted about the importance of sleep, but if you need more info about this, send us a message. Almost all cell recovery happens whilst you are dreaaaaaming away so try to get 7-8 hours.
2. Cleanse (double cleanse, actually!)
This means removing make up and THEN cleansing! Both morning and night. Did you know your skin is an excretory organ? Whatever is exited through the skin will be there when you wake up in the morning. This is why it is still essential to cleanse and follow through with your daytime routine in the morning.
3. Exfoliate
This is something we often skip but it's oh so important. A great exfoliant goes a long way. This is where you get that luminous, radiant look. How often should you be exfoliating? One to two times a week.
4. Serum or Ampoules
This step is all about creating the glow and rejuvenating your skin whilst you sleep and go about your day. Serums assist with pigmentation, cell recovery and promote youthful looking skin. Think of them like the skincare version of a superfood. They are packed with vitamins and active ingredients AKA a skin lifesaver!
5. Sunscreen, suncreen, sunscreen.
SPF every day keep the wrinkles, doctor and cancer away. So, you should probably just do it. You want to find a good, lightweight sunscreen that doesn't clog your pores. And make sure it's broad spectrum!
6. Take some EFAs
Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are something our body needs to survive but does not make itself - It need to be sourced through diet. These are healthy dietary fats that a huge amount of Australians are deficient in. By taking an EFA supplement your skin will plump up by strengthening cell walls, your oil slip will become more fluid thus helping to reduce breakouts and the other benefits on the brain, blood, hair and nails is incredible!
